Ripon Barracks Update February 2023

MOD update regarding Ripon Barracks

Response received from Alex Chalk KC MP Minster of State for Defence Procurement in response to a letter Julian Smith MP sent on 17 January 2023 on behalf of Ripon City Council requesting an update on the MOD’s plans for Claro and Deverell Barracks in Ripon.

The letter confirms that the Claro Barracks will remain operational until late 2026. However, as soon as planning permission has been granted, phased works will begin. These will start at the Deverell Barracks.
