Julian has welcomed the German public broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, to the constituency.
The television crew joined Julian on a day of constituency engagements on Friday (9 May) to showcase the work of a British Member of Parliament ahead of this month’s European Elections.
The piece will be shown around the world in English, German, Spanish and Arabic on their flagship programme, European Journal.
During the day, Julian visited Birstwith to open the newly refurbished Post Office, held a Q&A session with Craven College students and also met with residents and businesses in Settle.
“I am pleased I was able to welcome the German public broadcaster to my constituency to hear my views and those of residents and businesses here on these important elections across the UK and Europe.
“As well as showcasing the views of Skipton and Ripon on Europe, it was an excellent opportunity to show off my constituency to an international audience which I hope encourages more people to want to visit, stay and spend in the future.”
