Julian has met with the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group to hear about the work they are doing eight months after they took over responsibility for healthcare commissioning in Craven.
The MP talked to Dr Colin Renwick, Chair of the CCG, and Dr Phil Pue, the Accountable Officer, at Skipton Hospital on Friday 24 January.
Speaking after the meeting, Julian said:
“I have regularly met with those involved with the NHS in Craven during this time of transition - the changes have given more say to doctors closer to where people live.
“I am pleased to hear that those running the CCG are positive about the changes that have taken place and the opportunities that are available for ensuring continues improvements to healthcare in the future. I was impressed with their energy and vision for the NHS in Craven and I will continue to support them in any way I can.”
