On Wednesday 9 July Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE, Member of Parliament for Skipton and Ripon, met with Paul Kelly, a director of the newly launched Settle Energy Local Club and a leading member of ACE (Action on Climate Emergency) Settle and Area, during the Act Now, Change Forever Mass Lobby in Westminster.
The meeting, held in Portcullis House ahead of Prime Minister’s Questions, provided an opportunity for Mr Kelly to update Julian on local climate initiatives in North Yorkshire, including the progress of the Settle Energy Local Club - a community-led effort to promote sustainable energy solutions.

The Act Now, Change Forever Mass Lobby brought thousands of constituents to Westminster to urge their MPs to take bold action on climate and nature. The event was marked by regionally grouped meetings and a strong turnout from across the UK.
