Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE MP has announced the winners of his annual Christmas card competition.
Each year, Julian invites primary school pupils from across the Skipton and Ripon constituency to submit Christmas card designs with the chance of being chosen to feature on his official Skipton and Ripon MP Christmas Card. This year's theme was 'Christmas in the Countryside'.
After reviewing dozens of creative entries from primary school pupils across the constituency, Julian and his team selected the design from Poppy, age 10, from Burnsall Voluntary Aided Primary School as the overall winner.
Alongside the overall winner, local winners are:
- Meredith, Age 9, Greatwood Community Primary, Skipton
- Willow, Age 7, Kettlewell Primary School
- Beck, Age 9, St Cuthbert’s CE School
- Margot, Aged 8, Long Preston Endowed VA Primary School
Each of the designs will feature on Julian's official Christmas card, which will be sent to recipients across the constituency and beyond.
Commenting, Julian said: "I am always amazed by the creativity and talent of young people across Skipton and Ripon. This year’s entries were full of imagination, and choosing a winner was no easy task. Congratulations to Poppy and all the local winners, and a thank you to every pupil who entered for helping to continue this festive tradition."
