Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE MP is encouraging residents across Skipton and Ripon to take part in a new survey aimed at tackling violence and improving community safety. The consultation, led by the York and North Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing, Fire and Crime, Jo Coles, is open until 4 July and includes a focus on violence against women and girls.
Commenting, Julian said “This is a vital opportunity for local people to share their experiences and help shape how we respond to violence in our communities. Although our region has relatively low levels of serious violence, every incident has a lasting impact. By taking part in this survey, residents can help ensure that future policies and support services reflect the needs of our towns and villages.”
The survey is part of a wider effort to halve serious violence and improve safety across North Yorkshire.
