Today, 4 November, Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE MP laid a Remembrance tribute in Parliament's Garden of Remembrance in New Palace Yard.
The Garden of Remembrance gives MPs the opportunity to honour those who have served or continue to serve in His Majesty’s Armed Forces by planting a wooden tribute on behalf of their constituency.
Commenting, Julian said, "On behalf of the Skipton and Ripon constituency, I dedicated a tribute to all those who gave their lives to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life. It is vital that we remember their ultimate sacrifice and express our gratitude to those who have and continue to serve our country."
